dined at Lan Jie Fei Zou Yu in Puchong and found it to be a solid choice. The prices are reasonable, and the food is flavorful. However, I was disappointed that the steamed fish only comes with one cooking option. It would be a great addition if they offered more variety and flavors for the steamed fish. Overall, it’s a good spot, but there’s room for improvement in their menu options.

Bang for buck! Whenever I crave fish I would think of this place, the price for steamed fish is pretty unbeatable. Fish is fresh and steamed just long enough to retain that soft but still plump texture. Sauce is also on point with plenty of ginger, chilli and coriander garnish. Soup is great as well when they're not sold out. Other dishes can be a bit of a hit or miss but overall still great value. Food can be a bit slow depending on the crowd

The restaurant was very quiet during lunch time on Monday. Atmosphere was not too comfortable as crews were busy with daily works and a abit noisy. Luckily, foods were still acceptable. Steamed fish was good, fried chicken taste ok but the texture a bit dry.

Lan Jie is a franchise restaurant that specialised in steamed fish (tilapia, with lots of chopped red chillies on em). You can of course choose your spice level. It's typical for one to have a whole fish at Lan Jie. Having said that, I used to be a regular at the OUG branch and absolutely love it there. My favourite dishes are steamed tilapi (extra spicy), onion omelette, sweet and sour chickenballs, and fried cabbage. I'm giving the Puchong branch 4 stars only because I feel it isn't as good as the OUG branch (both in terms of service and food quality).

A whole fish steamed al dente! There's only one style of cooking, the only choice to make is the scale of spiciness. The fish floated in light soy sauce laced with garlic and chilies on top. Amazing dish that you can't put down until you picked the fish to its bone ;) The side dishes of fried bean curd with chicken and stir fry bitter guard with egg was served prior to the fish. The house bean curd was fresh springy and soft. The veg dish was prepared well as the bitter guard didn't taste bitter, an excellent combination with rice.
